The Fire Department is funded through city taxes. People outside of the city limits, but in the Heber Springs Fire Department District pay their dues through the county property taxes.

It is our mission to provide the citizens of the Heber Springs Fire District with qualified Firefighters that are knowledgeable and dedicated. Our staff is qualified to handle fire suppression, water rescue, high angle rescue, EMS calls, vehicle extrication and investigations.
The Heber Springs Fire Department has 28 Firefighters.
2 full time Firemen, 13 part time Firemen that also work as paid per call, and 13 Firemen that are paid per call.
The Fire Department has 6 Fire Engines, 1 Aerial, Two Rescue Trucks, 2 Brush Trucks and 1 Gator Vehicle.
The Heber Springs Fire Department operates
